Kenita Saunders Romero

Kenita Saunders Romero is the Director of Human Resources at PDS, where she develops, organizes, directs, and administers comprehensive human resource management programs. She is responsible for key HR functions including position classification, recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, human resource development, performance management, employee relations, and personnel records management. 

As a principal advisor to the Director, Deputy Director, and other top management officials, Kenita provides expert advice and recommendations on all human resource management matters. She is an active member of the executive management team, contributing to management decisions and offering insights on human resource implications.

Prior to her role at PDS, Kenita distinguished herself in significant leadership capacities across both U.S. federal and state government sectors. Her experience includes positions such as Workforce Chief, Human Capital Section Chief, Chief Administrative Officer and HR Director. In these roles, she led high-performing teams, drove operational excellence across diverse industries, oversaw integrated human resources programs, and provided expert advice to senior leaders on human capital matters and emerging trends. She possesses a strong background in labor relations, employee relations, performance management, change management and developing training programs. Her expertise also extends to managing position classification, incentive awards, and performance evaluation activities, while also conducting in-depth data analysis to inform decision-making and achieve operational efficiency.

Kenita holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management with a minor in Counseling Psychology and has completed significant executive-level professional development and leadership programs and certifications.
