Forensic Science Conference

Forensic Science Conference

Forensic science evidence is now a part of nearly every criminal trial. As both government and defense attorneys increasingly turn towards forensic science evidence in their cases, the need for high quality training in the utility of these various types of evidence is crucial. PDS’s forensic practice group focuses on understanding, utilizing, and challenging forensic science in court, and this knowledgeable group comes together with other experts yearly to present on key forensic science issues.

This year’s Forensic Science Conference will be held at Arnold & Porter, LLP, on July 13, 2019. This year’s conference is focused on evolving our understanding of trace and so-called “touch” DNA.  Join us as we tackle DNA transfer and demystify probabilistic genotyping to better advocate for clients in criminal cases. We aim to provide strategies for challenging the evidence pre-trial as well as incorporating the DNA evidence into our defense theories at trial.
